Fatimah Iqbal

Fatimah Iqbal is a Solicitor who specialises in Family Law. Fatimah has been practicing Family Law since 2014 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2017.

Fatimah completed her Legal Practice Course in 2014 and practiced in one of the country’s largest Legal Aid firms. Fatimah specialised in Private and Public Law matters representing a vast range of clients from different backgrounds. Fatimah has extensive experience of all aspects of Family Law and issues surrounding the breakdown in marriages and relationships.

Fatimah advises clients on divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, pre and post nuptial agreements and also cohabitation disputes where couples are not married. Additionally, Fatimah also deals with financial applications connected to a breakdown of a relationship and has experience in financial settlements which involve high level assets.

Fatimah also has comprehensive experience in matters concerning domestic violence applications and conducts her own advocacy, representing clients at Court.

Fatimah has a particular interest in resolving disputes concerning arrangements for children and has vast knowledge and experience of the law surrounding that area.

Fatimah has dealt with many applications for contact and residence (now referred to as child arrangements), as well as many urgent applications to obtain protective orders for a child and also applications concerning children being removed from the jurisdiction unlawfully. Fatimah has also worked on complicated cases concerning sensitive and complex issues such as allegations of child abuse.

Fatimah understands that no two family cases are the same, and prides herself on providing a professional, yet personal service, that is tailored to a client’s individual needs.
