Melissa Arnold is a Chartered Legal Executive, working exclusively in the field of family law. Melissa has been practicing family law since 2011, and graduated from the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2012 as a specialist family lawyer.
Melissa completed her Professional Diploma in Law whilst working at a large law firm in Cornwall before moving to a niche family practice based in Reading and Windsor, before moving to Dominic Levent Solicitors in 2016.
Melissa has extensive experience of all aspects of family law and issues surrounding the breakdown in relationships. Melissa advises clients on divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, pre and post nuptial agreements and also cohabitation disputes where couples are not married. In addition, Melissa also deals with financial applications connected to a breakdown of a relationship and has experience in financial settlements which involve high level assets.
Melissa also has comprehensive experience in matters concerning domestic abuse applications and conducts her own advocacy, representing clients at Court.
Melissa has a particular interest in resolving disputes concerning arrangements for children and has vast knowledge and experience of the law surrounding that area. Melissa has dealt with many applications for contact and residence (now referred to as child arrangements), often conducting her own advocacy at Court, as well as many urgent applications to obtain protective orders for a child and also applications concerning children being removed from the jurisdiction unlawfully. Melissa has also worked on complicated cases concerning sensitive and complex issues such as allegations of child abuse.
Melissa always adopts a responsive, effective and proactive approach to family matters, where time is often of the essence and appreciates that sensitivity is often required.
Melissa understands that no two family cases are the same, and prides herself on providing a professional, yet personal service, that is tailored to a client’s individual needs.
